Work history: I am originally from the sunshine coast and moved to Brisbane in 2005 to begin working as part of the guggenheim team.

Why do I love hairdressing: I love waking up in the morning and not knowing what my day will bring! It's exciting and creative and I'm so lucky to be paid for something I love doing!

What do I love about guggenheim: Everyday I go to work it's a new experience, not just for my client's, but for me as well. The salon is a beautiful and professional place to work and all of my co-workers are such talented and gorgeous people. You spend the majority of your day at work, and as the salon co-ordinator, I love having the opportunity to make every day enjoyable for all my staff.

Carlas's profile:

Work history: I started my hairdressing on the sunshine coast where I did all of my apprenticeship, I then moved onto guggenheim where I have been  since February 2008.

Why do I love hairdressing: I love the creative side of cutting and colouring and how they complement each other. I believe that your hair is your perfect accessory and that it is the only thing that can make you look hot without anything else on.

What do I love about guggenheim: I love that guggenheim offers the next level of creativity and professionalism  and that it brings the hairdresser up to a level of quality that they have worked hard for. A great challenge!

Specialising in: My speciality falls in all aspects of hairdressing. In particular, colouring and cutting and extensions.

Chantel's Profile:

Work History: I have always been attracted to the fashion industry. First working as a make-up artist I then travelled overseas to further my experience before taking a position at guggenheim. I have been working as part of the team for just over two years now.

Why do I love hairdressing: I love hairdressing because it's creative. I also love the satisfaction of making people look and feel their best! 

What do you love about guggenheim: guggenheim is a great work environment to be a part of. All the team are lovely, friendly and well presented. And great at what they do.

Specialising in: The weft hair extensions and upstyling. I love to express my creativity through upstyling and giving my clients a unique look for a special occasion.

Tayah's Profile:

Work history: I started my hairdressing career in Hervey Bay where I completed my apprenticeship. I moved to Brisbane in January 2009 and have recently joined the guggenheim team!

Why do I love hairdressing: I honestly love all aspects of hairdressing, from cutting hair to transforming a client’s hair with exciting colours and styles. It has been my dream ever since I was little to become a great hair stylist and I wake up happy each day knowing I have achieved that dream.

What do I love about guggenheim: I love the professionalism and high standards of guggenheim for hair. The girls are great to work with and I have a ball each day coming to work with the excitement of not knowing what the day will bring.

Specialising in: Cutting and colouring, and I really enjoy upstyling.

Work History:  I’m at guggenheim part time as well as studying Creative Industries at university. I have worked at the Brisbane Festival, done promotional work and served my time in bars and restaurants, but guggenheim is defiantly my best gig yet!

Why do I love hairdressing: Although I’m not a hairdresser myself, I have always been interested in hair and beauty. I love seeing the smiles on people’s faces as they walk out of our salon flicking their luscious locks! I also love the strong relationships built between client and stylist…you can always count on your hairdresser to make you feel fabulous every time!

What do you love about guggenheim: Guggenheim is such a fun but professional environment. All of the girls are so friendly and talented. You are guaranteed smiles, satisfaction and service when you come to us for the ultimate hairdressing experience. I love coming to work each day and I especially love it when the girls do my hair of a morning!

Specialising in: I will be at the front desk ready to greet you with a big smile!  

Amy's Profile:

Work History : I started my hairdressing apprenticeship at guggenheim in 2008, in hopes of becoming a fantastic stylist.

Why do I Love Hairdressing: I love being creative and artistic, and with hairdressing I am given the opportunity to do that everyday with the added benefit of making clients look beautiful!

What do I love about guggenheim: The salon is a beautiful environment and it’s exciting with all the opportunities to grow and develop my skills at such a fast pace and professional standards.

Specialising in: Whilst I am still developing my skills and continually growing, I have great attention to detail and a creative eye and I hope this will always be reflected in all my work!

Briana's Profile:

Work History: I recently studied beauty and make-up after completing school. I have a strong passion for creativity and fashion.

Why do I love hairdressing: I love being able to give people confidence and glamour. It's a great feeling when you're able to see your client leave with a smile and new found confidence in themselves.

What do you love about guggenheim: I started my hairdressing career at guggenheim, as there are many different avenues and opportunities for me within the company.

Specialising in: I specialise in facial waxing and tinting. I love to style and create.

Work History: I have had part time ‘tea and tidy’ work prior to starting at guggenheim.

Why do I Love Hairdressing: I have had a passion for the industry since a young age and I am excited to learn new techniques and skills to further myself as a hairdresser. I enjoy sharing my creativity and having the opportunity to transform clients hair and make them feel special.

What do I love about guggenheim: Being able to receive first class salon training to develop and further my skills.
